Some of my friends from school came down to visit SoCal, so I suggested we go to some places unique to LA! We decided that we wanted to eat at Grand Central Market and ended up seeing the Last Bookstore while we were driving around looking for parking. I’ve always wanted to go to the Last Bookstore because of all of my friends’ Instagram posts I’ve seen, so we visited after lunch. It’s such a unique place and absolutely beautiful to take pictures in! Bookstores in general are so photogenic.
This was a tunnel made out of books! There were interesting little installments like this all over the shop!
The outside of the tunnel.
I appreciate the color-coordination on this shelf.
Both pictures were from the second story of the shop, or from what the store calls, the Book Labyrinth. The whole second story is where the installments are located, along with an art gallery and some artisan shops! I couldn’t take pictures of the art, but the art shops were run by locals selling goods ranging from handmade clothing, art pieces, greeting cards, and antiques.
I recommend the Last Bookstore to any book fanatic out there. There are rooms containing a single book genre, and the books range from used to new. Can’t wait to go back to LA to find more photogenic places like this!
